If I had known how serious this series would end up becoming then I never would have named the main character, Darth Mew Mew. I was playing in the beginning. The mood all changed. I've been chewed up, and spit out, and boo'd off stage. But I kept video editing and step writing the next cipher. Best believe somebody is paying the pied piper. All the pain inside amplified by the. Sorry. That's actually from the Em in em track, called lose yourself. But it holds true to my experience.
Anyway, also I never would have named her flagship the ISS Neko. I am having to go back to the drawing board all over the damn place and make edits. But it will still be the same show. It will still be the same characters, same every thing. Every character and every thing is now my baby. I will not let a dingo eat my baby. I want to keep all of moe, the lolly and all the rest. I want to keep it ka why e but blend in just the right amount of darkness. And also add my ideal blend of seriousness and humor. The naming conventions that I use with the Bujin later on reflected the beginning of the shift in the series. Already, they will give you an idea of where I'm heading. I want to step up the earlier lore to the level of the Bujin. Their species, the Bujin. Their world, Budo. Their binary sister world, Budoka. And then, those three names are all related and synergize to create a meaning as well as define what the Bujin are all about. Boo doe means the martial way, or way of the warrior. Bujin means a follower of the martial way, in other words, a warrior. And then Budoka means a student training under a master to become a warrior. The way the Bujin see it, boo doe taught them to be warriors, and their world itself still stands as the ultimate warrior in the galaxy. And Budoka is the witness. It was spared any conflict or hardship on the level of boo doe and the boo jin, so it respectfully orbits and watches boo doe and the boo jin as a student. I guess in a way it's like the holy trinity in Christianity although it wasn't meant as such. I only thought of that now. Only rather than father, son, holy ghost, it is the eternal master which is boo doe, the eternal warrior which is embodied by the Bujin, the eternal student which is embodied by Budoka. This also demonstrates two major things. One, the Bujin as a species have a collective intelligence. This is further aided by their limited telepathy and all species, Bujin and animal alike share. It is not very strong telepathy. It's just enough that they more or less know what each other are feeling, and also to a limited extent, thinking, without having to guess. So basically, like a super interpersonal sense. That's why their communistic slash socialistic system not only works for them, but it is the best and natural system for them. I'm not being political, I have just always liked thought experiments like, how could this or that thing that has never worked, work. Trying to solve seemingly insolvable things, or make the unworkable work somehow. It's a lot easier in fiction. The name of their world, their species and their sister world also demonstrates how they view themselves. They are in the middle of a trinity rather than the bottom, in other words they are proud and think rather highly of themselves. They basically see their world as a god, themselves as angels, and their sister planet as mortal. This shift in their self view, and world view, all occurred post alien invasion,. It wouldn't have occurred without it. Anyway... Their culture, etc, I feel that I finally got it right with them and I've realized that this is why I've been spending so much time on them. They are kawaii, and bad ass in just the right balance. Plus, it took me 2+ years to develop Darth Mew Mew, aka Tokiwa Laserfang. What that entails, is me building a person. I had to create a personality. A total being. And I'm still not finished. It's not an easy process and some idiots interfered with one of the ways I was doing it, which was using a modified form of method acting. And with the Bujin, I am creating a species, a world, a culture, a social structure, a political system, architecture with a general, consistent theme and aesthetic, their unique technology, a general look and aesthetic for their star ships and what not... an entire alien civilization. While the Bujin are loosely based on some historical civilizations, centered chiefly around Mongolia, of the Genghis Khan era, with some other Asian cultural influences fused in. Such as Korean, the chinese influenced regions of South east asian, and so I went ahead and added in Chinese as well, which only made sense. Plus Chinese architecture is cool. Then I added some old Germanic. You will even see all this in their architecture which I will make work together, somehow. I may fuse it at times, and have it more or less distinct at other times. It, like all architecture in this series will be a mix of old with the new. High tech with a feudal aesthetic. Genghis Khan is a personal hero of mine and even stood as one of my idols in my younger years, so that's probably why I went with Mongolia. Plus my admiration for Temujin, better known as Genghis Khan, led me to study Mongolian culture, and the uniqueness of it always intrigued me. The only reason that I'm staying away from Japanese culture with the Bujin, is that the other main species, the Nekojin, which is what Darth Mew Mew is, has a very strong Japanese aspect, which should be obvious, since I only combined two cultures for the Nekojin. That's all I needed to do for that and it worked great. I want all worlds and species to be unique. The Nekojin species, to which Darth Mew Mew belongs, is basically some blend of feudal Japan and feudal England but in the future. Also, naturally, the Tau how species has Japanese in it. All around, I am going for a European and Asian, aka Eurasian theme of various blends as the historical center around which I build all otherwise unique fantasy cultures. It's not easy since I am fitting together cultures that were never meant to be fitted. It's like trying to build a computer with 50% PC parts, and 50% mac parts. But I find it to be fun. It's part of what I enjoy about making this thing. Anyway, it has been a huge and difficult decision for me, but I am changing the names of some old things. Darth Mew Mew will keep her birth name, Tokiwa Laser fang. Her first name, Tokiwa, has existed before she was called Darth Mew Mew. The only new thing I did was give her a Star Wars sounding surname. By the way, the name Tokiwa means, eternally constant. I chose her name based on the meaning behind it. As I understand it, the name is extremely rare. But that's good. Continuing on, futhermore, the series is not a joke, and I am not a faggot. But I feel some things in the series, since it started out as me messing around, make both me and the series seem like a joke, and in the beginning made me look like a faggot. So anyway, the name Darth Mew Mew might never be mentioned or spoken again. She will be refereed to as Tokiwa or Laser fang, since, she isn't a Sith anyway, the Sith are gone at the moment, and she doesn't wish to be a Sith. She has her own philosophy. She is complicated. And she's not really meant to be a villain. She isn't a villain to me. But you be the judge. The ISS Neko will now be the S A S Yamabushi. All S A S ships will start with S A S instead of ISS. S A S is the name of the central government of her state and faction. S A S stands for Sith Alchemy Society. So S A S applied to capital ships stands for Syth Alchemy Ship. I could have it S A, S, S, but I don't want it to be 4 letters. They are not Imperial so the ISS is no good. The S A S is essentially non political and pragmatic in nature as it was founded and is run by a grand council of force alchemists, and sorcerers. Then later it added elite scientists, mostly in the fields of bio-engineering and physics. And more recently, elite roboticists and cyberneticists were added to the team. Tokiwa Laser fang is, and was, the leader of the grand council from the beginning, until now, until always. She formed it. It makes no sense to the story to have it ISS, as I said, it began as me messing around since I was only toying with the idea of making it serious, and I never thought it would get this serious. I am still keeping the humor, the kawaii aspects, the cute little girls, etc, so don't worry about that. I love lollies. It's just that I need people to also see the serious part of the series which is actually 75% of it, at least. And anyway, without the humor and cute aspects, the show would be too dark. The problem is that many aren't even recognizing the dark parts. It's going over their heads, and people are missing the serious, dark, philosophical, metaphysical, psychological, sociological as well as overall artistic aspects and it's making me feel like I'm wasting my time. I also get irritated when people think the series is about something lewd. No Lolly character is sexualized. This isn't about hentai. I don't even like hentai of any sort. And also I'm not a teenager. I'm not even a student. I don't like porn in general as I personally feel it's degenerate, although erotic and etch e art is fine. There is actually a huge line between porn and art, but I suppose that some sexually immature people aren't going to always understand that. And why is everyone always after me lucky lollies anyway. As far as planet Tau how... well, that has become central to the series now. You see, I got going with this series prematurely. I did that intentionally. I've been making up and building the series into a cohesive, original story as I've gone along. Learning, building and writing as I went. This made it appear to some as if it was one great big fanfic of multiple anime/games/manga/movies which it isn't intended to be. But it is, of course, influenced by them. I needed a world quickly since I wanted to get started, since, after all, this series began almost entirely as personal escapism. So I used Tau how as a template and then came up with the Mujona, who are now tied in with the Bujin story. I may not have named the planet Tau how if I'd known better at the time. The Tau how aspect of the series isn't going anywhere. But I may or may not change the name of the planet. I'm not sure yet. Really, many of these are just superficial changes in order to give off the correct impression. Oh, before I forget, I have long had an explanation for how this universe exists and why it looks like a mix of Earth's fiction as well as some actual history. It was created by Earth's fiction although it is now a real galaxy in another dimension, so the similarities are only superficial. Their universe was inadvertently made in the image of human fiction. It was caused by a freak occurrence. I'll probably write it and put it on deviant art. But I am also going to use it for making a channel trailer so I stop getting the stupid, "what the hell did I just watch." |
